Creator of both Forum and Triton clothing, Iconic jeanswear designer Tufi Duek is one of the designers who presented his A/W14 collection earlier today at SPFW. Although this Brazilian is known mostly for his jeans, he is also a well accomplished eveningwear designer. Today, he definitely pushed the boundaries with this elegant collection that is inspired by Africa and the works by fotographer Malick Sidibé in the ’50s and ’60s. Once again I saw a lot of red on the runway! The collection had both an old and futuristic feel to it. I know it sounds like an oxymoron but it’s true. I loved the wide belts, which gave the looks a traditional Japanese feel! The hints of leather, the fringe and the patterns were exceptionally well constructed!
